I really enjoy scrapbooking and writing in my journal, but ever since I got married (which was 2 and a 1/2 yeas ago) I just have not had time to keep up with either item. I have been keeping tickets to events I have gone to with my husband in a drawer so that I can someday scrapbook them with adorable pictures and embellishments.
Well... I decided recently that that day was never going to come. I kept hoping that life would slow down a little bit so I could relax and spend every weekend scrapbooking and watching Hallmark Channel movies, but alas, I have come to the realization that life is busy and that is okay - that is actually more than okay, that is great. I love all the things we get to participate in and wouldn't trade them for more time in my craft room.
Once I realized I wasn't going to have time to scrapbook as much I started coming up with other solutions. The first was this idea - which is what I like to call my "Admit Two" shadow box. I bought the box at Michael's and it already had a slit at the top to drop things in, and it was the perfect size for tickets. I took out the cardboard back to the box, decorated it as you can see above, and stuck it back in - then all I had to do was drop all my tickets in to the box and I got a great way to keep our memories that is not in a drawer!
If you want to get the same box I did, here is the one I bought:
We hope you have fun with this project - good luck!
